This is an out-of-blue detour from our original "princess tea date" LOL
Our original plan was to have high tea but our stomaches complained of real food.
After a 30-second hesitation, we cancelled high tea and redirected our focus to finding a suitable Happy Hour Restaurant.
Professor Google was useful as always in advising of the suitable recommendations.
My friend was craving oysters and Chewies showed up to our calling.
Just a short 8-minute walk from Robson Street, we were quick to navigate our path to the happy hour enjoyment.
Since we came here for the fresh oysters, we ordered almost 2 dozens of them! For BC Oysters, the price is $1.50/each and $2.25/per premium oysters.
BC Oysters were big and juicy and more filling than the premium ones.

The premium oysters were smaller in size but delicate and fresh to the taste. We tried various sauces and had a lot of fun in mix-match the condiments.
Happy hour cannot be without some lovely drinks.
Cheers!
Besides the protagonist oyster babies, we also ordered Hush Puppies - fried cornbread and alligator (!!) It's quite an exotic dish.
The fried alligator tasted like a combination of fish and shrimp- it's quite unusual and I'd recommend trying if you haven't already!
The happy hour portion is smaller compared to the regular order. But for $11/each, it's a worthy share plate between two people!
Out of curiosity, we also got the deep fried cauliflower. The serving was big and super filling! The outer layer was crispy like fried chicken. YUMMY!
Chewies is definitely a great place to hang out or for a casual date. We enjoyed a fun girls' date :D
Don't forget to check out their menus before you go. Each location offers a different variety so double check just to be sure.
