Happy Chinese Lunar New Year, everyone!
In the Lunar Calender, Feb 16 marks the commencement of 2018. In a curious sense, if you were Chinese, I believe you'd have two new-year resolutions (LOL) and re-do your new-year planning for January (haha).
On New Year's Eve, families would gather to enjoy a feast of seafood- particularly, fish, crab, shrimp, prawns or lobster with noodle (symbolizing longevity), dumplings (wealth), meatball soup (TW style; the round meatball symbolizes unity and togetherness). There are many other dishes one can enjoy, which signifies good fortune for the year to come.
This CNY eve, I had night class until late. H was sweet to pack me a CNY eve bento <3 Great thanks to grandparents for cooking dinner and saving delicious food for me. I love the BBQ pork. The outer skin is fried to a golden crisp adding a crunching taste to the soft and juicy meat. Another favourite dish of mine is the vermicelli, made with green bean.
I wish everyone a great new year with abundant health and wealth to all that you love and adore. Enjoy and cherish every moment in 2018.
